A Weapon is a tool, device, equipment or instrument used in order to inflict damage or harm to enemies or other living beings, structures, or systems.


Each weapon type is able to be leveled up. Some weapons can be modified using the Salvage Matrix.


Weapons are capable of being equipped with different ammunition elements which provide different damages such as:

  • Corrosive - Covers enemy with corrosive materials that degrade shields and health.
  • Incendiary nano-effect.pngIncendiary - Sets alight to the enemy.
  • Syphon nano-effect.pngSyphon - Attaches to enemies and siphons away health.
  • Radiation nano-effect.pngRadiation - Breaks shields and makes enemies more susceptible to damage.
  • Electrical nano-effect.pngElectrical - Which can stun your enemies or disable the HUD of other Ark Hunters.
  • Biological nano-effect.pngBiological - Slows the movements of enemies by sticking a material to their feet.


There are five different rarities of weapons, grenades, and shields. The more rare an item, the more functionality is has. Rarity is color coded in the name in the Inventory:

  • Common - White
  • Uncommon - Green
  • Rare - Blue
  • Epic - Purple
  • Legendary - Orange


Weapons, grenades, and shields can have synergies listed on them. When enough items of the same synergy are equipped the Ark Hunter gains weapon benefits.
